Which One Is Brighter, STL-2 Hot For Tele or STL-3 Quarter Pound For Tele???

So which one is brighter & more importantly in your opinion which has more vintage Tele twang & character while being loud and aggressive single coils????

STL-2. I'd say it's "STL-1b on steroids". If you're a rock player that wants some twang, this is your pickup.

neither has much twang or tele character. the hot has a more mid focused tone, the qp has more bottom both are great pups. the hot might sound a bit more teleish but not by much

The QP is a great pup but as was said it looses some of that typical twang. It can definitely be loud and aggressive though. The tapped QP helps a lot to sound more Teleish. The Jerry Donahue may also be worth your consideration for what you want.

I personally love the QP because of its versatility...it can do a lot depending on your amp and other equipment.

STL-2 hot is brighter in my experience. i'm not a country guy by any means but i find it gives me enough tele like tones and enough oomph to rattle the walls as well. I really like it.
