I used to have an all-mahogany LP and wrote to SD looking for advice on replacements for the stock Burstbucker Pros, to play hard rock with. They recommended Pearly Gates.

Seth or PG, or a combination of the two. Seth neck and PG bridge would be what I'd start with. If you want a brighter, underwound sounding bridge pickup, try the PG neck model in the bridge position instead.
