Which pedal for evanessence distortion???

I run through Fender Twin Reverb...
The pedal choices are TS-9,nearly all Boss series,DS-1,Marshall Guv'nor,jim dunlop MX-Rs...well there are some other choices but I could mainly get one of these...I also know there are much good pedals but as I said my choices are limited...which one gets me the evanessence type distortion...if there's another pedal just post it maybe I could get it from outside ok thanks...

I run through a Fender Twin Reverb, and can get a good replica of this sound when I need to.

I use a G2D Morpheus for my high-gain sounds. It has an adjustable mid-range that allows you to scoop the mid when you need to. Some people I've played our band's single too couldn't believe I had that sound coming from a Twin.

They use Line6 amps or should I say, last time I heard they claimed that they were using Line6. You can never tell these days. That being the case, I would say buy a PODxt or POD PROxt for a preamp and use your twin as the power amp. That should get you close.

Yeah, when I saw them live one guitarist was using a Line6 head, and the other was using a Mesa Dual or Triple.

thanks guys but I think I could not find these pedals here or even if I find I don't think I'll afford them...well it may not be the exact tone cause I want other sounds as well...

Evanescence use mostly Line6 equipment or Rectifiers, those are probably your best chances

Although Ben Moody is gone, the Guy from Coldplay or something is In IIRC. Gotta wait to see what he uses. But I´m pretty sure that their last 3 records will blow away the next one

I would check out the DS1 first. Then maybe the Marshall. The Metal Zone has huge gain, but its really compressed. Maybe some prefer that, but its not my cup of tea.

BTW, how is the music scene in Istanbul?

Boss Metal Zone or the MXR Dime-Distortion.

I'd go with the Dime if I was you.
Ben Moody's tone, to me (and my ears could be wrong), sounds very similar to that whole low mids with maxed out treble and bass frequencies...although it's very tight, very focused.
I think the Dime would probably do that best for you.

I am 95% sure Moody was using Flextone II heads.

When I saw Evanescence Moody had already left but the guitarists were using a Line6 head and a Mesa Dual/Triple (one of them things)

i know they use mesa, other than that i'm not sure.
I would NOT suggest buying the MT-2 or metal zone, this thing is buzzy and loud and the distortion fizzes. Some like it i guess but i hate it, modded i hear they are great but i havn't heard one yet. stock = poo. MO of course

Maybe is a POd set on the recto tone? either way go for the recto tone.
