Hi all, need help (again as usual) :laugh2:
i'm getting a mex strat from my friend tomorrow... it's loaded with Custom Staggered (CS) on the neck, stock on middle, and Jb-Jr on the bridge.
Personally I've tried the CS and JB-Jr (i installed for him last time). I like the CS a lot for it's clarity as well as the beefed up output.
In addition, I'm getting a pair of Classic Stacks on the cheap (yeah i know the Plus models are around the corner, but hey, i'm getting both really cheap... about the equivalent of 55USD together). I notice both are probably going to be lower output than the CS and the JB-Jr, though the exact specs have been omitted from the SD Tone chart.
Now, the question being... which pickups should I put in the strat? I'm definitely not using the stock mex pickup... but I do need to balance between the outputs of the 3 pickups together.
And ya, for the guitar, it's finished maple fretboard/neck with an alder body. Looking to use this strat to play mainly pop, rock stuff.
