the CC is a very thick and warm sounding pickup, I used it to fatten up a guitar I have that is already on the bright side. The PG is NOT as brighrt as some people would have you belive, nor is the JB really...a Jazz neck and a Demon might be great for you

I disagree with the C5 suggestion. I had a C5 in a very dark sounding Les Paul I have and it didn't help at all. I think you'll need a pickup with more mids than a C5 so it cuts a liitle more.
