which pots should i use? what about push pull?

im relpacing the pots and switches in my strat and i dont know the difference in the pots. is it worth trying the push pull pots? would i use the same for my volume? i have svr1 neck/scr1 middle/shr1 bridge. also has anyone tried the black ice mod thing? sounds cool. thanks for any info.

250K Audio Taper, not Linear. That's my perference. The 250K is stock. Audio versus Linear, I don't know what stock is, just know what I like.

go for push-push...they are easier to use (you just tap the knob on or off; you don't have to grab and pull).

thats kick ass. who makes those? i read that dimarzio pots have good taper, but they only make push pull and standard pots.

250k for more mellow, 500k for more treble.

I now have those DMZ push-pull pots, and those push-push ones sound really nice! Who makes them? Are they otherwise good quality?

I've seen Warmoth selling push-push pots. In fact, they don't even sell push-pull, just push-push.

Edit: virtually all pots on guitars are audio taper, not linear. Occasionally you'll find a guitarist who likes Linear, but it's not the norm.

I think I bought mine from Warmoth or Stew-Mac...they indeed rock- I'll never go back to push-pull.
