Which SD HB For Neck Position??

Greetings all~ Right now my Dean Hardtail has a 59/Hybrid in the bridge,, no splitting just yet, but I may eventually go w/2 Triple Shots, but for now it's just full-out HB sounds... Having spent the last 40 or so years playing punk/new wave/alt, & more eclectica, the last few years has taken me into the appreciation of clean, sparkly & funky clean sounds on my Strats, Schecter, Dean & parts casters,,,, My initial intent was to go for a matching 59/Hybrid in the neck, but I've seen much mentioned about the SH-2n Jazz with my bridge...
I don't play jazz, & even though the SH2 is Alnico 5, I want the nicer middle position sounds, much like I (we) favor those lovely Strat 2/4 positions... Yes, as my tastes have changed a bit, I'll always favour my Morgan & Budda for gainier stuff, but my AC30 is always close by. Having a nice Clapton woman tone, or thick SRV sounds at my disposal would be nice for the neck..... I'll check SD's tone chart, but wanted to hear some real-world opinions. I s'pose a bolder neck p/u would describe my wants.

The Jazz is a great combo with the Hybrid, and is wonderful at most styles (it wouldn't be my choice for Jazz, actually). It splits well, too, so it would be ready for those Triple Shots when you install them.

Cool MINCER,,, & no issues with the nickel covered ones as opposed to the exposed coils, like masking of the any signal w/covers??

I only have experience with the Jazz neck pup, very, clean and bright, very articulate in set neck, mahogany single cut guitars, perhaps a bit too bright on something else (i.e. V shaped guitars). It may get you there, although the 59 may be a great choice for the "woman" tone.

If the Full Shred neck is anything like the Full Shred bridge, I'd go with the Full Shred neck.

Thnx all~ Looks like a '59 for the neck,,,, Any thoughts on a Lover, or a '78,, just to be unique,,, not too heavy handed, & vintage, or just SH-1 it & be done? Overthinking comes easily, & with so many options,,,,, oy

Which bekons me to wonder why someone SH1'S are single conductor, & others 4? Just an option?

A 59 is modeled after traditional-style PAF-types. So anything like that (Seths, Antiquities, etc) get single conductor (although you can specially order them with 4).

If the Full Shred neck is anything like the Full Shred bridge, I'd go with the Full Shred neck.

I have one in a PRS with a 59/Custom, never tried the FS Bridge. The neck is really articulate and an incredibly underrated pickup. There's virtually no way to make it muddy or oversaturated.

Basically how I'd describe the FS bridge. It can get bright, but it's super tight and articulate. You need to know what you're doing with it.

I found a 59 with 'long legs' & wanted to know if the longer legs would fit with 1 1/4" total depth of my cavity, at best? Serious/excessive wobble?

Worse comes to worse, you could always swap out the baseplate.

I've not spent much time with the neck, but the bridge, on its own, does need some dirt to soften it up. Split in position 4 with a SSL-2, though, it sounds like what you'd expect a great strat to sound.

Depending on what sounds you're shooting for, I can see that. However, it does get some PAF-ish "tele on steroids" type of tone as well.
