Which single coil to pair up with a split JB?

Was wondering if any folks would be able to give me any advice on the following:
I have a alder Strat with a maple/maple neck and a Floyd Rose, and I'm looking for a single coil neck that will pair up a split JB. Something that will match well and give me a Pete Anderson type of tone (ex., "Guitars n' Cadillacs").

I have a classic stack plus in my guitar (paired with a JB) and the sound split is great. if you want a true single coil, try something with Alnico 5 magnets. SSL-1's would be nice or maybe the SSL-2's.

I do not, however, know what type of tone you are after, as I can't put my finger on who Pete Anderson is.

He's the guitarist for Dwight Yoakam. In "Predator II" when Arnold is walking in the bar, the song on the juke box is Guitars 'n Cadillacs.

I'd suggest the dual Classic Stack with the JB, per Lew. However, the resistance of the JB is 16.4k, split it is approximately 8.2k, so (in my opinion) it could be compared to a slightly hot true single coil.

What tones do you like to hear from the neck and middle? What music do you usually play? And I hate to ask, but who is Pete Anderson, what band did "Guitars n' Cadillacs", etc? I tried googling but didn't really get a good answer. Is this Pink Floyd-ish sounding stuff, or rockabilly?

Pete Anderson plays for Dwight Yoakam. If you Google"Dwight Yoakam", then look for the song "Guitars 'n Cadillacs" (there is a lot of steel guitar in that song). The neck with perhaps the JB split (or the neck by itself), looking for that Honky Tonk/swing type of tone.
I had thought of the Classic stack, but it seems that model has been discontinued, perhaps the Classic stack plus?

You know, if you don't mind getting rid of the JB, a Rio Grande Stelly at the bridge with a pair of Tallboys in the neck and mid will get you very, very close to a tele tone (with the proper switching) without having to get a tele.

I'm not familiar along those lines, so I'll default to the Tone Wizard on this one. If you want clean sounds of a generic Strat for doing that music, go dual Vintage Staggered with your JB, otherwise maybe some Antiquity TX Hot for Strat pickups (if you want more of a TX blues rock / twang sound). I have no experience with this, so, like I said, I'll have to go with what the Tone Wizard said :D

SSL-1's
Use 'em , be proud of 'em :D
Great match that I use and I'm very happy with.
