Honestly I'm not a big fan of any of them. I don't get the contrasting pickguard/controls thing. I'd pick one or the other. And I'm not a fan of the textured pickguards. Pearloid and tortoise pickguards are, in my opinion, the guitar equivilants of the trucker mud flap girls.

What really strikes me as odd though is if you're creating this custom axe from scratch, why do all the designs look like such a traditional Strat? You're not limited to the same official color palette that Fender offers each year. What are they up to now? Something like 5 colors, and two of 'em are bursts? ;) If you're going to create a guitar from scratch, get creative with it! Don't make just another guitar that looks like 90% of what you'd find on eBay. To each their own I suppose. My 2 cents. Your mileage may vary. Batteries not included. Fortified with 8 essential vitamins and minerals. Check local listings for showtimes.
I'm sort of going for a classic strat look, they just appeal to me. The reason I'm going custom is because I can't get the neck I want with the body I want unless I were to do Fender Custom shop. Only the SRV guitar has both the neck and trem setup I like and those are $1,400.

I'd say the last one...that's about as classic and nice it gets in my opinion. Still the two color sunburst would be a even nicer color. :)

go with a black pickguard, and get big silver letter stickers and put your initials below the strings....oh yea!

I like either the Blue with the pearloid pickguard, or the burst with the black pickguard. As for the neck, I would strongly recommend the SRV contour in place of the Boatneck. The boat profile is very thick with no taper to it. Unless you have really big hands or like your necks super huge, I'd stick with the SRV profile. My Warmoth has the SRV profile, and it's nice and thick without being too thick. The Wolfgang profile is nice as well, and very similar to the SRV.
