Which wah(s) do you use?

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

I bought a Fulltone Clyde Deluxe, and it's the last wah I'll ever buy.

I was using a Budda Bud Wah, and one day on the way to a rehearsal, I stopped in at Sam Ash. There was a customer with 5 wah pedals on the floor, and he was deciding which one to buy. I told him to meet me in the parking lot, and sold him my Budda for $125 luckily! The next day, I swooped up a mint Fulltone on Ebay for $220 shipped!

If I didn't mod my own wahs, the Fulltone would be "The One" to own hands down also!

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

I use the Fulltone Clyde and also a John Spina modified Vox 847. Lew

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

I'm very happy with my Dunlop Mr. Crybaby (Wah/Volume) since approx. 8 years. Also used the wah of DigiTech GSP2101 and Boss ME50 (both with expression pedal). The Boss sounds ok, but feels horrible. The DigiTech soundedn and felt horrible :-)

I Own a Digitech GSP 2101 Artist and the F/C and the wah sounds totally do suck! The 2101 is a great unit, especially for recording straight to a deck,in fact it was made specifically for that...Alex Lifeson of Rush used this unit quite a bit on his solo release also..

I use a wah quite a bit and so I've not been able to settle on any of the stock stuff available from Dunlop.I need a great vocal wah with great sweep..

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

The Ibanez Weeping Demon.

No one seems to want to go near the things. It's weird. They look goofy and have a stupid name, sure. But they sound great and it's probably the most customizable Wah you can find on the market.

With any luck they'll get discontinued, the price will go to $20 and I can hoard a whole bunch of them for myself.

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

I use the onboard wah's in the POD xt Live. But not very often. IT's modeled on the Vox.

Re: Which wah(s) do you use?

I have a Dunlop 535q. It has several settings but I only use one. I got it for the versatility and true bypass.

John do you mod 535q pedals?

Take a nice photo of the board for me Steve and PM me with it and let me know what it lacks?

I've been wondering about the 535Q as well :) I've got a schematic (I think) if that helps too.

Just curious, but how much further do you go when modding a Dunlop or Vox wah? By further, I mean what else do you do besides the "standard" q, mids, type mods.
