White strat -Black pickguard or White

Ok i have a 99 MIM strat i am modding again.... this time with a JB/Jazz combo...... may put a Hotrails in the middle since i have a free one hanging around... All pickups are black plastic.... The strat in question has turned more creme-ish from being out of it's case so much... morning sun was getting it a lot... bad i know...

Chris, it has to be black. Just look at Jake E Lee's white Fender turned Charvel and Eddie's first white with black stripes Strat.

oh yes now your talking.....

The guitar in question has a one piece Maple neck.... so maple board.... i love some of the photos above...

I guess when wiring the Hotrails in the middle i have to reverse the wires to be in phase with the full sized humbuckers?....

I went into the local shop to see if they had any pickguards in.... looks like i'll have to order one Monday... In fact i'll order a bunch in with H/S/H routed out..... I want a creme one on my Black MIM Strat, a Black one on my MIM White one, i guess... and a white one on my USA Standard as well as my new 06 MIM Standard.....

All my strats will be H/S/H soon...

Definitely not white...I think white pickguards just look wrong.

I'd go for black, cream, mint green, or tortoise shell! I don't like plain white pickguards on anything.

i can't wait to get the cream one on my Black strat.... saddly that black strat has an all maple neck, i think a rosewood board neck would look better.... we'll see..

Depends on the fingerboard material.

Maple: black!
Rosewood: white!
