Re: Who can I get to

Me and the POD get along well... but it could use tweaking on occasion itself.

Re: Who can I get to

Your Parker could play itself..so that just leaves the amp. put everything at high noon and crank it to about 6. Adjust the amp one knob at a time till it sounds best, then go back and tweak it marginally. That ought to do it..if not run a good dirt box into it.
Dial in a sweet spot , and then put a small silver marker pen point dot where it is.

seriously, playing the amp is a skill, just like playing the guitar. It takes more than just set the knobs to big gain, scooped mid and go! to get the best tones out of an amp. Just like guys here swap pups out of control they probably buy amps when the one they had was just fine. It takes some time to get a gutar & pup set up, it takes some time to get the amp mojo working.

It's also about getting the right tone for the right guitar... scooping the mids when you're trying to rock with lower output pickups, like single coils or vintage PAF type humbuckers might be a big mistake... almost every rocker I know who uses Strats actually boosts them... a few Les Paul slingers like Slash and Moore don't scoop them AFAIK.

Re: Who can I get to

I got the "plug it in" part down. I'm referring to the guitarist cliche about not just playing your guitar, but "playing" your amp. Capiche?

I'm still working on the guitar. I need someone to follow me around and "play" my amp while I'm playing the guitar through it. :D
