Who has both Ants I & II ?

And which is your favorite? I recently got the Texas Hots and was completely blown away.I had no idea how go singles could be.Along with the SFX-01 these things can do anything from a great clean to all out rock.I loved them so much I just grabbed a set of surfers and cant wait to try them too.The Pup Booster makes all the difference between clean a clear and being able to add a huge amount of gain and sound huge,I love it!

I love'em both, although Alnico 5 is more MY sound, so my strats use Surfers and other brands of handwound A5's.

Antiquites are a little woodier and have more 'cluck.'
Surfers are glassier, hollower in the mids, and are 'spankier' sounding.

Depends on the guitar? I use em both also...I have the Surfer neck and middle and a twangbanger bridge in one guitar,but the red avatar American Deluxe strat is loaded with Texas Hots....

The Surfers simply nail the chimey vintage highs and tight articulate tones of the best strat vintage pickup tones to my ears...

The Texas Hots are not as toppy and tight and have more mids but still do a nice clean strat tone but slightly warmer and darker at the same time...The pickups aren't actually dark though,but I feel these pickups are better in a brighter axe.....

The Surfers in the neck and middle are king though....A Texas Hot Custom or Twangbanger bridge is the icing on the cake...Last night I played my blue strat with the Surfers and the TB bridge and this guitar just has overall great tone! The Twangbanger is such a wonderful bridge pickup,fat,ballsy,and very Tele like and has great cutting output...This is my favorite strat pickup for the bridge now without question..

How about the Custom Surfer bridge? Have you tried that?

I Like A2 pickups and I felt that pickup was too toppy for me and even a bit anemic compared to the Texas Hot Custom and the Twangbanger....I sold my bridge Surfer to Stratcat and he used it in the neck of one of his strats...

The Twangbanger is my fav right now and has been since the day I Put it into my blue strat..
