Who has my old beat up black SG Standard ?

I sold this to a forum member, who I believe removed the cream pickups and put a regular setup back in it. I can't remember who it was, but I'm interested in maybe buying it back if its available.

Re: Who has my old beat up black SG Standard ?

I have been totally itching to get an SG lately. My guitar partner in my band has an SG Special from 1998 made from the Memphis factory, and I've told him that I'm going to steal it because it's so damn good! Plays amazing, has a killer tone, and it's all black. What more could you want? He said that the back of the neck was literally split in half when he got it, but then got it fixed and you can't even tell.

That being said, I want a white or a red SG.

I don't just want a black one, I want this one. It has beutiful naturally worn mojo. The edges, even the back of the neck has worn to wood.

"Iommi's trolling around the forum again, buying up all the black SGs"

Wouldn't it be some **** if it had cross inlays when you bought it back?

I hope you can find it man, I went through the same thing where I did a trade on Craigslist–a Gibson Les Paul Studio for a Japanese Jackson Soloist...loved both guitars but really miss that Gibson...it had the back of the neck sanded perfectly, had just the right feel and tone...

Best of luck relocating it!

Well I remember the buyer is a longtime well known member here, I just forgot who. Hopefully he'll see the thread and chime in.

Still scouring the net for my first guitar for +10 years now. Sold it 18 years ago, but I still know every scratch and dent I put in it. One day it'll pop up somewhere.

Re: Who has my old beat up black SG Standard ?

If I was the one that bought that, I'd play dumb and pretend I never heard of you. :D

Re: Who has my old beat up black SG Standard ?

this is why i think you shouldn't sell friends

if you sell a guitar made shure it's a guitar you don't love, or you aren't strongly attached to, a guitar you view as a guitar and not like a lover or a friend, otherway you will suffer and miss it

Its none of those things, its just GAS and I've been through these GAS cycles before with other guitars.

Trouble is, most of the time "you don't know what you got, til it's gone".

Re: Who has my old beat up black SG Standard ?

This thread made me get my SG out and play a while. Man I love that guitar. Don't know why I don't put more time in on it.
