Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

sweeeeet - i like asked him if he could buld the "threatboard" with 36 frets that actually totaly cover the pickups for extra metal sustain.

yea - that's right - the thretbord goes OVER the pickups!!!! (it cuts off the acoustic effect you get when you play your guitar LIVE as supposed to in your bedrom like most players on this forum!!)

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

I have a guitar that I replaced everything on that wasn't wood --- is that custom?

I think it's just "heavily modded"

I don't have any true custom guitars, just off the shelfers!

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

Was looking at Warmouth to maybe build the exact strat I want (color, headstock, etc) but that stuff is pricey as hell.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

i hope i'm not hijacking here but.............if there is another guitar I'd really like it would be an older G&L Rampage. I'm a huge Cantrell fan. They seem rather pricey - so I thought about buying some parts and building a custom guitar to the specs of a Rampage.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

Aye I'd love to do a Warmoth build, but it'd be cheaper just to buy a Fender!

it aint cheap but its top quality stuff. a custom shop strat could cost $2500 and you have no choice on many things. you can build your dream warmoth for less and with a good fret dress youll have as good or better an instrument
