Who likes graphic finishes?

I love graphic finishes. I built a partscaster years ago that I wanted to have painted with a sweet graphic finish, but I ended up getting it with a figured redwood top. It's loaded with a JB/Pearly Gates combo, and those pickups really sound great in it, especially after all these years. But that's beside the point.

Anyway, I got this recently and it's awesome! Plays great, looks great, I love it!

So who else loves graphic finishes? Show them off! Let the awesomeness abound!

I really like the look of these MIM MLB Strats https://www.google.com/webhp?source...8#q=fender+mlb+stratocaster&safe=off&tbm=shop , having the graphic extend to the pick guard is a very nice touch. Unfortunately, I'm not much of sports fan.

I'm a big sports fan. You should get permission to use a sports trade mark or logo on a graphic guitar or some other piece of art. The Yankees for one are good about this if you contact them and your doing your own art work on something. An art student friend wanted to put a Yankees logo on a ceramic years ago. The Yankees gave her the go ahead and thanked her for asking permission first. I'm sure there's a deal between MLB and Fender.

I like graphic guitars in some cases but it depends on the guitar. On a Charvel type guitar a graphic can be real cool.

yes, at least half of my 17 guitars have graphics on them, PLus i do them for people also

Re: Who likes graphic finishes?

I like some (HR Giger Ibanez, the latest JEM), but I don't own any, and I can't imagine I'd go specifically looking for one.

That graphic really means something special since 911.

Yup. It has a lot of sentimental meaning now. A couple days after it happened, I went and opened the case to see if the towers were there. I hadn't played it in a while and couldn't recall in all the craziness. Sure enough, when I saw them on there, it made me cry. I hardly take it out of the house.

Definitely a keeper.

I love this one, it works on multiple levels, the color, the graphics, the exposed circuitry,

I like them sometimes. I've always liked the Jackson graphic finishes, even the ones that seem a bit cheesy. It's all about fun and variety.

Graphic finishes are for 12 year olds, and 12 year olds at heart...

Which is totally ok.

Re: Who likes graphic finishes?

Not for me, but fine for other people- as long as it something unique to them. I really don't like iconic graphic images on guitars unless it is the original artist using them.

Re: Who likes graphic finishes?

Not really my thing, although it's cool that some people have them. I would be more likely to have something with a texture or geometric pattern like a Petrucci Ibanez than something with an image of actual objects like cars, strippers, etc, if I had a graphic finish.

To me, the best graphic is a natural finish---nature's art.
