Who makes a good tele-gib?

I've been gassin' for a tele-gib lately, but my skills aren't good enough to custom make one myself. :smack: So, who makes a nice, stock double-hummer tele?

Fender makes the FMT tele for not a lot of money. Anderson makes the Drop Top Cobra for quite a bit more. Carvin makes the TL60 with pretty much any wood combo and finish you want for around a grand.

fender has a few but you will want to either change the pickups or have them rewound

Ive heard seymour makes a mean tele-gib.... heheh, seriously Ive liked some of the fender double hum teles ive played, but they really are hit or miss. Id say your best be is a music store to find which you like best or a carvin custom stop work.

Schecter makes a pretty cool one, too. The Blackjack model has real Seymours, a set neck, 24 frets, and a Les Paul's scale to be extra different.

I made this one from a '78 ash tele .
Any luthier can do this mod for you from a standard Tele an you'll get a real tele-gib .

id love a tele with at least a humbucker in the bridge one day. Ive seen Tele bridges with a hole to fit a humbucker. Would is cost much to have a bridge routed for a humbucker? One idea ok mine is to have a black tele with a mirror pickguard, humbucker etc. I also remember a while ago seeing Tele bridges and control panel with a flame pattern cut along one edge. Looked sweet but i dont know where i would get them. Another is ash body with a cremy colour and the grain in sight, black pickguard, very traditional. One day i will own a tele.

Yes, I forgot about the Schecter's. The PT Custom even has a quilt top, looks gorgeous!
