Who makes the best 1 x 12 extension cab. Yes, that's right.

Anyone know? I've heard that peavey made one in the past to go with the classic 30, and that Mesa has Thiele enclosures. Anyone have more experience with this stuff?

The Bogner Cube is a classic while the Avatar 1x12 is a virtual clone of the Cube.

but you can choose pretty much whatever speaker you want

I prefer the Mesa Widebody 1 x 12 with the Custom 90, or a vintage thirty. The theile cab only sounds good if you stand in a specific small sweet spot. The Widebody spreads better.

i dig my boogie 1x12" w/ celestion 90s .. closed back

be sure to listen to open and closed back models before you decide which is right for your tone ... best of all would be the 'convertable' back where you can take a planel off to make it half open or put it back on for closed back 'thunk'
