Yep; great strat tones with procol.

In Procol Harum, Trower was pretty much a Gibson guy, LP's & SG's, like just about all the Britsh blues players at that time.

I was a Tele guy until I got into the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. Nick Zinner totally made me want to get a Strat.

I agree with Jolly's selection of Doyle Bramhall II.

Besides being a good Strat player and vocalist he has the distinction of being among the few who play guitar with the skinny strings on top.

It was 1983, I was 15 and just learning the difference between guitars. I saved my money to buy a Fender Bullet (A starter guitar, what came before the Squires). Well, when I got the box home there was a Strat w/ a case instead of a Bullet (Talk about Divine Intervention). After that I learned that the players I gravitated to the most where Strat players. I still have that guitar to this day
