Who prefers a single pickup guitar?

Re: Who prefers a single pickup guitar?

Sounds great! I recently acquired one, but owing to a complicated housing situation (soon to be resolved) I haven't really had the opportunity to play with it in a proper rig. Really looking forward to giving it a go in practice, because the effects sound magnificent to my ears, even in the very amateurish rig I've had it so far.

Re: Who prefers a single pickup guitar?

For a time this has been a personal opinion of mine, but I believe it is about time for it to be elevated to fact. Everybody needs a single humbucker, single volume guitar with a down only Floyd Rose and a SLUG in the bridge, regardless of that person's taste or style.

i would suggest that if i had one of those, it would never be out of the case or ever seen again until i sold it

I second that. 20 year old me would die to hear this, but nothing about a super hot bridge pickup, lack of neck pickup and tone knob, or locking whammy that doesn’t float
appeals to me in the slightest.

I'll take it if you don't want it. For 48k, the SLUG is actually pretty well balanced tonally, so give it a chance.
