I use a Boss GE-7 EQ pedal in the FX loop in my Peavey Classic 30. I set the amps mid, bass and treble controls for the OD channel, then I have the EQ set up to either cut or boost certain frequencies for the clean channel. Because the C30 is not a true two channel amp, using the EQ in the loop for the clean channel works very well for me.

I prefer an EQ pedal because I can dissengage it to get a different sound.

I run my guitar through a 10 band equalizer to help eliminate noise and mud, and to brighten up my sound. All as need be. I want to invest in a boss ge-7 for solos.

i use a Boss GE-7 last in my chain. i really dont get much his and it makes a huge difference in tone to my ears. also good for a solo boost if your not a fan of having it on at all times (as i do). i used to have a parametric in my rack's but it tended to drown the sound a little

I use to use the Boss 7 band eq pedal when I had a JCM-900. I used it to fatten up the low end. Worked very nicely. I have a Rectifier now, I like the way it sounds w/o the pedal and I don't need a solo boost because the amp already has one, so I don't use it anymore. I'm keeping it because you never know when you're going to want to change your sound and active eq is good place to start. The controls on a Mesa are so sensitive though that I don't think I'll use it with that amp. I am thinking about getting an old JCM-800 or even a DSL 50, so I might break it out and use it as a boost.

I used to....but now I rarely use much beyond a delay and a two-channel+cleanboost overdrive.
My amps mids are all the way up, the bass is on 2 at the most, my treble from 4-5.
Bright switch is on when using my strat and off when using my Wolfgang right now.
