StrangeSound
GlossesForNothin'
I had a gig today and got a real nice sound out of my amp but I noticed the treble-beam. So, I ordered a beam blocker and see how it will work out. Does anybody else use it?
Please let me know how it works out for you. Yeah, I thought about the old skool method too but...I don't now, but we'll see how I feel about them when the Splawn arrives. I know they're a bit on the bright side.
Well, actually I might be the old-schooler who puts duct tape on the grill over the cones.![]()
For those who use them, could you ever gig without a blocker again? Thanks for the input, guys.
Yeah, that's right. I changed the V30 for a Eminence Cannabis Rex, which smoothed out A LOT and makes the signal quite fat but the beam is still there. I'm considering to buy a closed 1x12 cabinet for the V30 someday.Strangesound youve got the screamer combo right? Is it advisable to use beamblockers when you're running through only one speaker? Might be something to consider because I think most folks use them with 4x12 cabs.
So, I just installed it and loike it a lot. I have to turn up the presence or treble up a bit but this amp has plenty of it left, so it's all good. Can't wait to gig with it![]()
