Who's buying the SFX-03 Tube Classic right away?

Re: Who's buying the SFX-03 Tube Classic right away?

This thing might actually be the solution to my problem. I have been searching for the right amp forever with good cleans and able to handle gain. I think one of these in front a Fender Bassman RI will be a killer combo.

I'd really like to have one, but this is something I'm gonna need to try first (unlike the Mustaine pups...)

I'm still hoping somebody can do a shootout between this and the Tri-Mode - any takers?

you will end up with a 3 channel Tweed bassman that will run between the Bassman clean and high gain tube saturation that sounds amazing!

Sounds like it will be just the ticket in front of the Edana! Can't wait to try it!

Whats the Tri-Mode?

It's by ToneBone, it is sort of two Classics put together in one pedal. True bypass, the lead channel has a loop, utilizes one 12AX7... My son has one and although I've only got to play if for maybe an hour, it is good.

I really think I'm gonna hold out and snag a Hermida Zendrive and a new TS9 and use those for my gain. but I'd definitely be interested in hearing how this thing sounds!

I can't comment on the tri boost but I have tried a Tonebone Classic (not the Brittish) and the SFX-03 kills it in every way!

Really!! Just more tweakable, smoother, grittier, more gain on tap or ...?

Yeah, I have been looking into this more in depth and I think I will be able to keep the bassman tone, then also get more of a plexi feel, then with the lead have a high gain kind of thing goin on.

Tele > SFX-01 > SFX03 > Vox Wah > Tweed Bassman

That just may have to be my new set up. Now I just have to sell some stuff and make dat money
