Who's Harley Benton and why should i care about her ?

Even though I don't actually need it, I would buy a bass like that for $200.

I really like there fusion-T HH HT in silver sparkle. It's one of there top modern tele style guitars and they come either hard tail or tremolo. Not bad for 379 seems spec'd out pretty nicely (stainless steel frets, locking tuners, roasted flame maple neck and board, Wilkinson hardware etc..)

It's good to see this thread accepting that that an inexpensive "home brand" Far Eastern made guitar can be more than an entry level beginners instrument..

The very talented daughter of an acquaintance has been gigging for over a year with a Harley Benton SC Special TV yellow and reports no issues. As far as I am aware the guitar, other than a pro set up, is absolutely stock. Her other guitars on stage are a Takanmine Electro acounstic and double fat (HH) Strat. I understand the Harley Benton features prominently and is not eclipsed ..

Having said that I accept that in a live gig situation subtleties are sometimes lost.

Some years ago when visiting Turkey.where Fenders are very expensive, I noted some pro bands performing very well and sounding good with quite basic Squier instruments.

I have held maybe 3 or so. They are inexpensive, but decent quality. You'd upgrade them like higher end Squiers, and Epiphanies etc. But you wouldn't pay as much for the guitar.

I jones hard for a T62 Shell Pink Telecaster.

A buddy of mine has a Fender Jimmy Page Telecaster, a Gibson Kirk Douglas SG, and a few other nice guitars. He plays his Harley Benton HB-35 VS most of the time.

Everything I've read about Harley Benton suggests they are, for the most part, good-quality budget guitars. I certainly wouldn't turn my nose up at some of their axes if I had a chance to try them.

I have said many times - today, if your $300 guitar can't do it, it is you or your personal preferences.

Also - there are few things a good setup can't cure.

Some models don't seem bad but the colors are Fugly >

All I see are traditional colors and bursts. What is so fugly about red, black, blue, and green? They also have some nice bursts.

At one time there were having their guitars made at the same mfg that Monoprice uses to build their Indio 66 DLX Plus models, which are quite stellar.
