I'll pump them for info the next time I am there. They have a tenuous relationship with gibson lately. they will not want to sit on inventory for too long. Wait till this november and december. In washington they get taxed on there inventory. they will have to push some inventory them to avoid being taxed on inventory that just sits there. I was wondering if they would discount those rootbeer guitars since they are limited editions. Give it time, they have a huge inventory.

Re: Who's thirsty?

get a used historic, same price, better guitar. just my two cents.

Re: Who's thirsty?

do the historics have any finishes in Rootbeer...or another similar dark brown finish?!

Love the finish!!!

Re: Who's thirsty?

with TC's stories and my own pre-concieved fears...i think it's too risky to spend this kind of cash on something that i cannot look at with my own eyes and play with my own hands...i'm gonna go down to Lexington Ky to www.willcuttguitars.com and check out some LP's in person...if i find one i can't live without, i'll start selling some stuff (LOL)!

Re: Who's thirsty?

Just looking at that Ebay post... Anyone else notice that at the end of the photos there's one that is of what appears to be the same Les Paul but in a completely different colour?? What's up with that?

I see what you mean. Even the grain is tough to match, but it's really hard to tell with that finish. Depending upon the angle and lighting you could have a different effect.

Both are hot nonetheless.
