Who's tried the Vox MV50 amps?

I'm looking for a hybrid amp for practice through both a speaker and headphones. The new Vox MV50 line seems to fit the bill. Ordinarily, I'm a Marshall player; my main amp is a DIY 18 Watter clone. However as Marshalls go, my sound is low-to-moderate gain; think late '70s new wave: Police, Pretenders, Cars, Smiths (yeah, I know, Johnny Marr is Fender guy).

So, I'm worried that the MV50 Clean model might not have enough grit for me, but the MV50 Rock has too much. I'm fairly sure I'd prefer the Rock's Marshall-style EQ. Vox's mid-gain offering, the AC, is out because the Vox EQ voicing just doesn't do it for me.

So, what's your experience with the MV50? If you've played the Rock model, what's it's gain like? Can it do low-to-mid gain in addition to high gain? How's its cab sim (which was the downfall of the Orange Micro Terror I had)?

I have the MV50 AC have used it on several gigs. I use it with an Ear Candy 112 open back cab with a Peavey Blue Marvel 8ohm speaker. For out door gigs I built a second cab with 2 Eminence 6.5" 4Ω's in series which makes the cab 8 ohms, both cabs are run in parallel for 4ohms which lets me run the Vox at 50 watts.
Got a small gig, bring the 112@25 watts
Outdoor gig, bring both cabs@50 watts
Open mic , bring the 2x6 cab@25 watts
Lately I have been leaving the pedal board home and just using a Zoom G1ON pedal for effects( a great pedal though it looks a bit Fisher-Price)
The amp and effects fit in the back of either cab. Sound kicks , I love modern technology!
