Who's working on a build right now? Let's see your stuff!

Re: Who's working on a build right now? Let's see your stuff!

I saw some there, but wasn't sure about them. Does it make much difference?

Um difference compared to what? just find one with good feedback and you ''should'' be sweet.

ok so it's not a build yet but check out this timber i have been playing with. The boards warped a bit after maching but they are settling down and i will weigh them down and sticker them for a month or so.

Not so much a build as a heavy modification. I'm taking a parts-tele with a blah sounding ash body and making it a semi-hollow with a quilt top and 3 pups.

Some nice stuff going on.

Kramersteen, I like the grain in those boards. Hope you can get them flattened to your liking.

Rumblebox, I'm looking forward to seeing how that tele comes out. It sure looks like a good mod. It'll be interesting to see how it sound afterwards. Are you going to cut an F-hole in it?

Re: Who's working on a build right now? Let's see your stuff!

here's my budget project from used parts or stuff I had laying around.

Ibanez blazer 81 body
Mighty Mite Jazzmaster neck
59/duckbucker/jazz pickups
gotoh floyd
gotoh tuners

I want to get tortoise pickguard for it
I finished neck myself with tungoil and waxed it. It was in very bad shape with lots of dents but now its silky smooth.

The neck has been sanded, fretboard masked off, 1 coat of gloss urethane, and 1 coat of black on the face of the headstock. Looking like the one coat of black will be sufficient. Next is sanding and another coat of urethane over everything, sand again, then wait for the custom decal. Once I get that, I figure 1 or 2 more coats of urethane and then it's ready to attach!

Briguy68, that neck will look great with that one.

mutszanmongrelz, both look good. I particularly like the pickguard on the Kramer.

ChAoZ, I see you're making something a little different again. Thumbs up to that.

I wanna mod my jsx one day too. I thought it would be cool to just replicate those chrome panels on the front into wood and add a graphic.
