Why do so many people dislike vintage noiseless strat pups

Re: Why do so many people dislike vintage noiseless strat pups

"Vintage Noiseless" is the trademark for a specific series of Fender pickups, just fyi, and it's those specific pickups that tend to elicit very polarizing reactions from the strat crowd......"
I did not know...then again...I don't know anything....maybe magnet swaps can cure it??
My old Beck Skrat strat træt had some of these pickups I don't know about....ignorance is a form of bliss, would you not say??
Looks at the "strat" crowd....scream bloody murder you lot!!!
But yeah....but what is it we are talking about again....bugger where are those pills again?

Not argiung with what works for you, but have played in many rooms where you can't tune out 60hz without destroying tone... Far better in those rooms to use noise free pups with lots of shielding...

Of course, music style has a lot to do with it... Far less important doing hard rock sets in a bar... Sound overpowers hum.

But try playing Every Breath You Take at a wedding reception in a hummy room and easy to get forced into 2 or 4 to get noise rejection.

Playing Every breath you take at a wedding reception sounds very eerie to me...

;) its amazing how many people dont know its a stalker song... Same with Costellos Allison.

I used to tell people all the time, but think it just made them mad when I "ruined" the memory...

I could do a whole thread on how few people ( especially musicians) pay attention to the words comming out of their mouths...

I've heard a couple use Smoke Gets In Your Eyes for their first dance. Sounds nice unless you understand it's about a dying romance.

It's strange- a lot of women in particular seem to see break-up songs as more romantic than 'actual' love songs. Some people just want to feel anything, I guess.

My Tele had Vintage Noiseless pickups, which IMO sounded great! Especially the neck pickup.
