Anyone who has read through the threads on here where folks post their "dream guitar" creations with the online engine knows that when guitar players are allowed to dictate specifics past a certain level they inevitably will end up coming up with something so ungodly tacky that maybe a quarter of what would be considered a "niche market" would even consider buying, and even less would actually do so.

And so, you get black. It's kinda like the opposite of Reservoir Dogs.

i prefer wood. had a 2x12 custom cab made by these guys not too long ago and it was beautiful, sounds great and was priced very well.

In the late 80s & early 90s Marshall had custom color options in the price sheets & catalogs. Maybe 10-15% more per piece? Seemed reasonable... Don't know if it's still offered, and even if it WAS there's no way I'd order something like that through GC.

It'd take too long & they'd find some way to screw it up. My purple head would come in green or something...

'They' should sell all amp & cabs bare, but include sewing patterns ("templates" to us male types) for owners to add whatever color / pattern / material covers they please.
