why don't more amps have this?

why don't more amps come with jumpable channels?

some of the most widely accepted best amps in history could do this - bassman, jtm45, plexi, all them

so why hasn't a 4 input amp been made in like 30 years?

Re: why don't more amps have this?

I just answered why, but the sound is in the ear of the beholder. I kind of like the more modern amps over the older ones, a Stiletto will do a pretty nice Plexi sound with more tones with the stomp of a switch. Lots of amps these days will some great vintage sounds with more flexibility.

Re: why don't more amps have this?

You can jump channels with a Twin, or a Deluxe Reverb also. Primary reason is people prefer channel switching. I prefer using 2 amps. One for clean and one for dirty

Re: why don't more amps have this?

Look at the volume setting on that poor, misused puppy of yours.

Most people turn off the volume when they shut the amp down so they don't get a big suprise when they turn it on.

I practice at 5 and play around 7 on mine, but when it's off I make sure to set it to 0.

Also I believe most amps don't have the ability to be jumpered anymore because it's more effecient to stomp a footswitch.
