i just installed an x2n dimarzio in my sg copy, and it sounds great except for the horrible squealing feedback that I cannot control. any advice would be much appreciated. thanks

my advice? don't use Dimarzios. Send it back to them, get a refund, and buy a Duncan.

try moving further away from the amp. should help with the problem.

Turn the gain down and move away from the amp....these pickups have a very high output level. You shouldn't need as much gain with them as other pickups.

ok, i figured out the problem. i had a metal gibson cover on it and apparently they did not get along. now there is no feedback and the pickup sounds awesome!

Wow....that was a lot of help...

Haha, I'm glad it was appreciated...

I just hate Dimarzio, not for their sound, but for the way they conduct business. Very nasty folks, and I don't give my money to people who treat me like they don't want it...

Fair enough but that doesn't really help the guy with his problem.

True 'nuff! :)

I personally think it's okay to hate DiMarzio and it's okay to say so...but at least say something to the guy about his issue :laugh2:

Glad you got it fixed bro! I like the X2N tone myself...it's the only DiMarzio that I've ever really liked. It's pretty different from their other offerings, IMHO.
