It's a Korean made version. I have a blue one with HB's and it's a decent guitar all things considered. There are many, many worse guitars out there that you will pay more for. It wasn't my cup of tea, but it really is a fine instrument.

I had a Hamer Echotone for a while...in red with duncan designed pickups..the pickups were the weak point in that mix but man what a fine instrument...played well, held tune, didn't break strings...and was made with 100% real maple..not like a maple top and some other wood for the back and sides, but real maple throughout....man I want another one real bad, but can't spare that kind of cash right now...someday...I wish I had never gotten rid of it..but through trades that guitar eventually got me my Mesa/Boogie, so I'm not complaining

I don't like it when sellers don't fully disclose the origin of a guitar, especially when the same name is on the head stock on US and foreign made models. AND it directly affects the value of the guitar.
I read through the ad twice, and didn't see any disclosure, even though you can tell by the price that it must be foreign. The only indications I saw were that it didn't say "Hamer USA" on the head stock, and the back of the headstock has a small "made in -----" label that' illegible.
anyway, I'd guess it's Korean, but the fact is, the seller has made the BUYER responsible for finding out.
