lol well played.
fwiw I actually think that from a pure design standpoint, the shape of the EVH wolfgang would be quite well suited to a mega punchy sounding bass for rock and metal and the like. But I stand by my assertion that the EVH name/brand is not conducive to selling basses. It is mostly guitarists that idolize EVH, his gear, his riffs, his massive contribution to shred and all that. All of that kinda flies over the heads of most bassists.
Not a big fan of the wolfgang body style.

Definately true, but people buy Fender basses and Schecter etc. So, Im betting that if they made a great bass, it would sell. Maybe not like the guitars, but would still sell
Eddie played the bass on Sammy Hagar's "I Never Said Goodbye" album.Indeed. And pray tell what is he known for playing bass on? What are his best bass tones? His best bass gear? Best bass performances?
I sort of see what your saying, and do agree to a point. BUT, from a different perspective... The EVH striped guitars scream "fanboy", the EVH Wolfgang guitars are very good and versatile instruments. And they do try to market the amps as being great amps, not just a gimick to cop Ed's tone. So, why not make a nice bass under the EVH brand name? Just a thought.
because bassists are dumb and can't think that rationally.
