But there's the myth for ya.

I think you're getting him mixed up with Ron Wood, who had an ESP Tele-ish signature model at one point. They do kind of look the same.brisk said:I've seen his signature teleish guitar on EPS website few years ago.

MikeRocker said:Undoubtedly because Keith hasn't authorized it. I'm sure Fender would metaphorically cut off an arm to have a Keith Richards signature model, and a Bruce Springsteen one as well. Many artists are reluctant to do deals like that, which is essentially an endorsement. I'm a little surprised about Keith, as the Stones basically will sell anything (including their songs to Microsoft, etc.). I guess they need the money.:smack:

They are still doing the Danny Gatton model, and he was the one Barden designed those pickups for. It now comes with two "Bill Lawrence designed" pickups, according to the Fender site. Bruce had Quarter Pounders in his main Tele (actually a 2 pickup Esquire) at one point, and apparently MJ wound some custom pickups for him in the recent past.tone4days said:a springsteen model wouldnt be doable because he uses bardens, which are essentially unavailable
i've seen MIJ fender mcawber clones on ebay ...
