Beside's....people like to talk to each other about stuff. It's more fun than doing a search and just reading a bunch of old threads.

Exactly!!! I understand some topics get tedious as they appear over and over again, however this IS a discussion board right?

SD doesn't need to ban discussion of other brands because they do well enough without taking such draconian measures on this site. They are laid back and I appreciate that about them. When it comes to tone, there are certain things SD does well and certain things others do well. In our search for tone, it is very cool of them to not demand that we only discuss their offerings.
