A wierd noise has been coming from my amp for a few days now. It sounds kind of like static, but more like crackling. I tried to rule out possible causes. I bypassed my pedalboard and plugged straight into the amp. Same noise. I tried 3 different cables. No difference. I tried it with my computer off, and then my flourescent light off. It still made the noise. I plugged it into the other outlet in my room and still no difference. I have noticed two things about the noise. Turning the volume up on the amp doesn't make the noise louder, I actually have to turn it down to hear it because it stays at the same level. And when I turn all the volume controls down to zero, even my guitar's, it still makes the noise at the same volume. I just got a new set of tubes from Eurotubes, so I would be suprised if that was the issue. Anybody want to venture a guess at what this could be?
