Didn't want to derail the Gravity Pick Thread entirely with this worm hole of a website because it is an insane read.

I got a bunch of wooden and stone picks I love (especially for acoustic) in Dublin Ireland last year.

I am unaffiliated with the company BTW - at least right now -if they call me tomorrow, I'm in!

I’ll look into what shipping to the east coast will be later but the prices aren’t horrible.

They are expensive compared to the usual suspects, but the wooden ones have been really fun -the stone are great in places too.

Ok, maybe you can help guide me with some picks to look at.

I’m intrigued with the wooden ones. You said you’ve been using them for acoustic?
Maybe you can recommend some for me to look at.
I actually haven’t played acoustic regularly in quite some time but I typically prefer a medium to heavy pick regardless.
What have you been using?

Those are REALLY cool, but I have to admit that every time I try something new or fancy with picks, I always end up coming back to my trusty standard Tortex yellows!

Do you find that any of those materials are almost indestructible? My biggest problem with guitar picks is wearing them out!

At the rate I lose picks, I can't get attached to expensive exotic ones. I just use Jazz III shape made of delrin, about 1 mm or so. I custom order them from In Tune Guitar Picks (so they have my logo and website on them).

Tried some brass picks years ago and absolutely hated them. Dont remember how they played, just remember hated how they sounded and cringed at the thought the pick would gouge the finish on guitar.

The wooden ones are neat looking, esp some of the carved ones, but Ill just still with the Fender picks Ive used for years.

Yeah, I had a metal pick years ago (don’t know exactly what material it was) but I also hated it.
I ended up drilling a hole in it and making a necklace.

I had a stainless steel one years ago that I really like but it would eventually cut through the strings! I had not even considered the idea of gouging the finish but that is also a definite possibility in my case.
I don't honestly know how a company can make a business out of just picks, but more power to them!

I absolutely adore agate picks, easily my favorite material for feel and sound... but my main playing room has tile floors, so I can't really use them, since they shatter if I drop them

Well-made carbon fiber picks are also awesome -- super punchy and articulate, but the only good ones I've ever found were made by Iron Age.

I've been getting timber tones for a while now.
For acoustic I like the Santos rosewood. Electric I like bone and buffalo horn.They make a sculpted p funk pick that is very fast.

I use Brossard horn and bone picks but he has gone out of business. Thanks for posting this I will definitely be checking some of these out.

I dug the Brossard picks, actually, and it is a shame he isn't in business anymore. He also made cool pick jewelry.
