Will it fit?

Re: Will it fit?

My first guitar was an Aria Pro. I had to get the single coil slots recut so I could retrofit it with new pickups. Really not a big deal unless you feel keeping the guitar in original condition is important for resale value.

Re: Will it fit?

I have a late 80s Jackson soloist, same route.

I have a lil 59 and JB Jr in the neck and mid, I understand the Duncan Stacks will work , as will EMGs.

Most dimarzios have the flange

Re: Will it fit?

Don't you DARE put those ugly @$$ plates Kojo suggested on that!!!!
And this come from the man with the painted face, spandex pants and high heels?

Re: Will it fit?

+1 for Edgecrusher. I have a 89 model that will never route for any reason, just get a single coil that should fit.

Re: Will it fit?

Really? No one has said it? I guess I have to since it is obligatory for someone to say it whenever the need arises.... That's what she said...

Re: Will it fit?

I say leave them alone. I bet they sound fine with a good amp and some tweaking.

I use a Marshall jcm2000 dsl50 through a 1936 cab and the pickups don't sound great. the humbucker is way too high output to be used with the single coils and I hate single coil hum.

I'll be swapping the pickups for sure, I just really don't like how they sound but love how the guitar plays.

Not too fussed about routing since I won't be selling the guitar.

Definitely looking at other options but really had my mind set on the yjm fury and 59 combo

The pickup ring to mount the humbucker is easy to do. the only issue you might run into would be that 59's are long legs and the routes might not be deep enough for them. If this is the case the legs are easily modified.

For the YJM dont be a ninny just call customer service and ask them if its available without the flat work that way you will know for sure.
