Will my 22 fret warmoth tele neck...

...have too much of an overhang for a cabronita build? I haven't ordered the body yet to do a mockup but compared to my 21 fret standard tele it seems like that 22nd fret would sit right on top of the neck pickup

Anyone done this before and have photos? Thanks!

Just about every body I have ever seen with a neck pickup doesn't have the rout right at the end of the neck pocket. Even regular strats and tele's do 22 frets quite fine

Order the body from Warmoth too then. If the over hang interferes with the neck pup Warmoth most likely will make things right somehow.

I think I'm going to be ok actually. A little further research shows that the MIM Cabronitas from a couple years back actually are 22 fret models as well. Assuming the warmoth specs aren't drastically different I will probably live.

If not, get ready for a wonderful trade offer hitting the forum soon.

I think you should be fine, especially if you go with Warmoth for the body–just tell customer service and they can give you the definitive answer. FWIW, my 22 fret Warmoth Tele has plenty of room with a BL L45, so I think you should be more than fine.

21 and 22 fret necks are pretty interchangeable, it's 24 fret necks that will give you problems.
