I was blasting some Lamb Of God in the van this week and then it suddenly hit me. Something that totally escaped my notice over the last few years.

What ever happened to the apparent Willie Adler signature Duncan???? I know he is now using Fishman but why????

Just a thought so I'm interested to learn if I've missed something that was/is public knowledge.

I think his signature pups were Distortions made to sound slightly closer to a '59 since he used to use '59s and wanted ceramic with more power.

why fishman? because they're supersuper consistent in terms of tone, because he was able to dial in the exact tone he wanted without compromise, because they're dead quiet.

and yeah, rockonomics.

He was never using '59s, AFAIK. Well, only in the neck position. That was Mark having dual '59s in his sig (though he also used Breeds, 81's, and Invaders). Willie was using the Distortion or JB in the bridge.

I read some interview where he talked about the '59s, though. I remember him saying he wanted the Distortion mixed with the '59 for his sig pup.
