I too went back and forth between those two before settling on one
I am surprised no one has simply chose a bassist for a for a three piece
everyone has choose a guitarist
weird guitar players are a dime a dozen
bass players and drummers are much harder to come by

Along with TLD (he might be busy because it seems everyone wants him!), I'll go with Lucid, Itsabass
(jam some very early Judas Priest, Sabbath, some Blue Oyster Cult, other very very very early heavy metal etc.), Zerberus, everdrone for sure (I'd play for Earth Alliance!), ex-250, CTN, and Metal Maniac.

Lots of great bands have two great guitarists
Having said that, I actually happen to think drums are my main forte, but also play bass, piano and sing as well. I just grew up with a guitar before becoming an adult and owning my own home where I could drum all I want >

I think I'll go with Funkfingers as I suspect our shared sense of humour would be needed to cover for any playing deficiencies (on my part at any rate).

I love questions like these because it really makes you think and I hate questions like these because they make you choose.
The truth is that there are more than a couple people here that I'd enjoy being in a band with.
