Hi, I'm wiring up a pull/push pot, similar to this -

I'm just wondering between the poles/grounding, does it make a difference if the wire I use is bare or insulated?

As far as function? No. The only caveat is that you risk unwanted shorts with bare wire if you use it for everything, and you want to make sure its tinned or else it may corrode over time. If youre just using it for your ground connections or between your poles and throws, then you should be fine so long as you don't have unwanted shorts.
