I've seen people use little connectors in wiring, that allow you to basically snap wires together, etc. I think this would be useful, because then I could just put these connectors at the end of my pickups, then switch them back and forth between guitars whenever I felt like a change or for experimental purposes, and all I'd have to do is snap them in or out of place.
But my question(s) begin there; how do you do that? What kind of wiring is involved, and where would I get these little connectors? Also, are there drawbacks to this? Could it result in poor connections or anything like that, or would it be 100% the same as a traditional soldered wiring setup?
