wire extension question

What's the best way to extend the bare and green ground wires. Could you solder a single wire to the two to make the extension? Or would you have to solder a wire to the bare and green wires individually, then twist those together and solder to the ground?

You only need to do the first if you are taking them both to ground.

If you feel you may have to swap the polarity of either or both coils you need to keep the bare wire and the green one separate.

Put some heat shrink tubing over the wires for a professional touch.
