Wires, wires everywhere...Help??

Re: Wires, wires everywhere...Help??

oh sorry missed your last post
forgive me

alright looking back over the thread the problem was now with the Tone pot right?

you have one tone control
right?

three terminals on the tone control
one not connected to anything-- right?
one with a wire running to the middle bottom terminal of the pickup selector switch----right?
one with a leg of the cap soldered in and the other leg of the cap grounded to the back of the pot---- right?
and lastly a wire connecting the back of the pot to the back of each of the other two pots---- right?

check these connections and if all look good then just heat up the solder joints to reflow the solder ( redoes the connections, broken solder joints are hard to spot )

I will try to pay closer attention
again I apologize

Re: Wires, wires everywhere...Help??

On that page, it says to connect the red and white wires together, but according to the diagram, the red and white (N- and S+) are separated for the neck pickup. Any ideas as to which is right?

On some Ibanez dual HB guitars, the selector switch is a five-way. Sometimes, one of the selections is both coils of the neck HB running in parallel. To achieve this, the series/parallel linkage between the coils has to be performed via the contacts of the selector switch rather than by straightforward physical joining and soldering.

you can see the 12 pole 3 way switch terminals

EDIT
