Re: wiring a DPDT???

Since a DPDT switch is two switches in one housing, it has more terminals than you need. You only need two terminals to do a coil split, so a DPDT push/pull has four different ways to wire that are all the same. Just depends on which side of the switch you use, and whether or not you want the pup split when the handle is in one position or the other.

You can use the diagram in your book, or the one on the site. They'll both work. ;)

Re: wiring a DPDT???

well i wired it. and it makes alot of noise,so i took it out. The front pup now makes a little noise when its on because i had to cut the ground wire out of the rubber that was holding all the wires togather to get it too reach. so its a bare wire. Is this why its making noise????? i put tin foil around it but that didnt work??? what do i do?????

Re: wiring a DPDT???

As long as the ground has a good connection, that should be ok. Just double-check all your connections. Make sure you have nice clean solder connections. Sometimes, some noise is hard to eliminate, even with a humbucker. It just depends on how bad it is.
