Wiring a HOt Rails in neck and Hum in the bridge with fender 3 way switch

Im having trouble wiring this. I wired the hotrails just like a 3 humbucker with 1 volume. And a toggle switch.. the problem is i dont have a 3 way toggle but a 3 way toggle type fender switch. (its a warmoth guitar) . I got everything wired and the jack is screwed up. If you put the cable in half way it gets a connection but if you put it all the way in it cuts off. I also have a stereo jack.(if that makes a difference) Can anyone point me into a good direction on correctly wiring a Hot Rails in the neck and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge with 1 volume, 3 way fender style switch and stereo jack. thanks for any help.

Questions:

1. Why are you using a stereo jack?
2. How do you want the switching to work (for example like a tele?)

I use a stereo jack in my guitars just to give me a better ground, and additional ground lugs, but it sounds like you've wired to the wrong terminal.

ok turns out i guess i dont have a stereo jack. Cause i only have 2 prongs.. I just dont know what to do. The jack is still messed up. And when i turn the volume down then hit full down the volume goes all the way back up. I have rewired this thing so many times. It seems like it would be simple. I just dont know what is wrong. Would the switch being reversed mess this up. Like when i hit it up it goes to bridge and hit it back it goes to neck? Any help would be really appreciated.

ok u say u have two prongs but does ur jack, have 2 clips ( to hold the input jack in place?). and wht do u mean by messed up? what do u mean hit it up? be glad to help just be a little clear.

Ok (1)it seems u got ur switch reversed .( thats why whne u move the switch to bridge the neck comes on and vice versa.
(2) it seems u have wired only one pick up to the pot.thats why even after u turn the volume down and hit down the volume goe up on the neck pick up.
(3) I think ur jack needs to be replaced but cant tell for sure. I think u do have Stero jack and thats damaged. but again cant tell for sure. ( u got its model name or something like that?

so are the ones that have the red arrows the ground?

ok well i tried tieing one side off but that didnt work. I have a long prong. A short prong and another prong. The long and short one are side by side. The other one is off to the side more. I tied the two short and led them to ground. The long one is going to the pot. So this is obviously not right. Just need some direction from here.

I dont know I cant tell, which prong cld go to the ground wld b for which. Hmm try using the other prong which is to the side of the long prong.

Get a schematic from duncan, as well as a good book with pictures (not tech diagrams) Then try and visualise how the whole thing works, and VERY useful is a multi-meter. Wire-up everything (maybe not using solder just yet) test it and check everything using an amp. Then solder up and enjoy.

I know this sound obvious, but check the integrity of each solder (great if using a multi-meter.) And check the workings of the switching. A three-way shouldn't be a problem. Know thy HOT from thy GROUND

Sorry about that. My pic was for a different type of jack.

Generally, with that style of jack, the shortest terminal should be "hot". Tie the other two together, and to ground.

But be warned, I don't actually have one of those in my hand. But I'm 99% sure, thats correct. If you have a meter, you can test it. Just plug a guitar cable into it, and look for a short between the "other" end, (tip), of the cable, and the terminals on the jack.
