Wiring advice needed (phase switching)

What can I do regarding advanced pickup possibilities with a

- SD Lipstick single coil pickup
- SD JB 4-conductor pickup

I can split-coil the JB, but can I also use another push-pull pot to put the JB and the Lipstick in and out of phase? How will that sound?

Re: Wiring advice needed (phase switching)

yes - you can do that ... not sure how the combinations will sound given the relative mismatch in coil strengths

the out of phase sound might be interesting .. probably easiest to wire the lipstick for phase reversal ...

what kind of music would you be using it for?

good luck

I'll be using it for anything but metal. The two pickups are currently in my Squier 51, but will be going in a Warmoth Thinline Tele in 2 months' time. So I'll be using 1 push-pull pot to coil-split the JB and the other to reverse the phase of the Lipstick...
