Greetings all!

I have an old Ibanez RG440 I'm considering modifying. Right now it has two APS-1s in the neck and middle and a TBAPH-1 in the bridge, wired to autosplit in the #4 position. It has a single volume and tone, both 500K, but I'd like to replace the tone with a 250K. How can I wire it so that the single coils are connected to the tone pot but the humbucker isn't?

If you want to keep the autosplit in the #4 position, then you'll need a super-switch.

Just ignore the 2nd tone control, and this diagram will give you what you want.

Ah I get it, the 2nd tone control is for the bridge pickup. I looked at that diagram last night and figured one tone was for the neck and the other for the middle. Thanks for clarifying!

Nope, the first tone controls the neck, neck/middle, middle, and middle/bridge positions. The second controls the bridge pickup only, hence the different cap value.
