Wiring an HSH - do I want a RW/RP middle for hum-canceling in pos 2 & 4?

HSH Strat going together. I have Pearly Gates humbuckers for the neck and bridge, and a regular SSL-2 single coil for the middle. I'll be wiring it up with a standard 5-way switch, 1 vol 1 tone, no coil tap or split things going on. I was wondering if I have the correct pickup for hum-canceling in switch positions 2 and 4, using this schematic: http://www.seymourduncan.com/support/wiring-diagrams/schematics.php?schematic=HSH_1v_1t_5w

It's also not a problem to wire the middle pickup differently if someone could tell me where. I can follow diagrams & it (almost) always seems to work out, but don't understand what I'm looking at. I did some searching and there are variations with people having different HB being active in the middle position and so on. I figure this would be a simple yes/no question for folks here:

Do I have the correct middle pickup?

Thanks!

This diagram will combine a full humbucker with a single coil in positions 2 & 4. Three coils will never be hum cancelling. For this to be hum cancelling you will either need a stack pickup in the middle or use an auto-splitting wiring diagram for 2 & 4.

Now with this diagram, your question is valid. :) It appears that if you auto-split to the slug coil, your standard pickup will cancel hum.

From King IzzO))) back in January:
If you use a Duncan in the middle you don't want a rw/rp if you want to split with the slug coil. Duncan rw/rp is N up. Duncan humbuckers are N to slug. You need a standard single.

If you use a Dimarzio you will want rw/rp.

Oh nice catch, thanks. Here I assumed my diagram already would auto-split the coils...so I have the right stuff just the wrong wiring schematic?

So if I use your diagram just as it is, I'll get:

Neck humbucker
Neck split + middle
Middle
Bridge split + middle
Bridge humbucker

...with hum canceling in everything but position 3 (which I almost never use)?

I believe so. I'll let Artie or someone else confirm... ;)

According to your pickups, such diagram PFDarkside is linking is correct.
